Join tour guide and local historian Alan Byrne on this walk through 150 years of the Guinness family's gifts to the city. We'll see the parks, churches, homes and other projects as donated by the brewers to the people of the Liberties.

Join me, Alan Swaine, live on a Virtual Tour exploring the history of Dublin's Thomas Street. Learn how the murder of an archbishop would give its name to the street. As well as this, we will explore the rise and fall whiskey distilling in the area and touch on the Great Whiskey Fire of 1875. Finally, we will discuss the revolutionary history of Thomas Street from the capture of Lord Edward Fitzgerald to the public execution of Robert Emmet.
